Where can I become a trainee?
You can realize Erasmus + internships to the European Union countries and to Turkey, Liechtenstein, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Norway and Iceland (+ Serbia from 1 June 2019).
Where can I work?
The receiving organization may be an enterprise (private or public), non-profit, university, office/authority/agency, research center or other organization, including non-governmental organizations. You can´t relalize the mobility in the EU institutions and other EU bodies, including specialized agencies or organizations managing EU programmes.
Each student search for and communicates with the receiving organization by himself/herself without assistance of the International Relations Office.
Who can go on an internship/traineeship?
- A student who is going to apply for Erasmus internship must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor, master or doctoral study program.
- Form of study can be a full-time or distant.
- Students can be enrolled in any year of study.
- A student may be a citizen of any country.
- Interrupted study or abandoned study prohibits realization of traineeship.
Scholarship, conditions and minimum length of stay
- Minimum length of work placement is 2 months, maximum length is 12 months.
- Traineeship is a full-time job according to a pre-agreed work plan (usually eight hours of work per day, depending on the country's legal regulations).
- An inter-institutional (bilateral) agreement between CZU Prague and the receiving organization is not required.
- No fees may be charged to the student in connection with the organization and administration of his / her work placement or by the receiving organization.
Financial support and Erasmus + scholarship
- The student receives a scholarship from sending higher education institutions or intermediary organizations (in the case of CZU it is paid out and administered by EDUCA consortium).
- The scholarship is provided in the form of a lump sum for the month of an internship abroad.
- The scholarship provided does not have to cover all costs associated with staying abroad. Scholarships for internships are usually higher than scholarships for study stay.
- The student signs a financial agreement and is obliged to arrange travel insurance for the entire period of the internship.
- The amount of the scholarship is published on the website of the Czech National Agency
May I receive funding for traineeship or study stay multiple times?
- Within the Erasmus + programme, a student may go abroad multiple times.
- The total length of all mobilities in one degree level (bachelor, master, doctoral) may be a maximum of 12 months (e.g a student has spent an Erasmus study stay for 5 months in the winter semester, so he can use another 7 months for one or more Erasmus mobilities).
- Please note that the mobilities of the previous LLP Erasmus or Erasmus Mundus programme are also included in the total length if they were realized at the same level of study as planned mobility.
- Graduates may realize a trainesship within 12 month after graduation.
Selection and application procedures
Selection procedures for Erasmus+ Traineeships are organized by International Relations Office of each faculty. All deadlines, terms of the selection procedures and the required documents for the selection procedure (typically a CV, a letter of motivation, a language certificate, and transcript of records) will be announced by your faculty.
Erasmus+ traineeships for graduates
When your state examination is scheduled, you can still take part in the selection procedure for a traineeship and realize mobility as a fresh graduate. Graduate internships must be completed no later than 12 months from the date of the state examination. For more information, please contact the International Relations Office of your faculty.
Administrative procedure for applicants
After the student has been successfully selected by the faculty in the selection procedure, he or she must fill out several forms which are available here.
- Please submit filled in and signed forms "Traineeship Application Form" + "Learning Agreement for Traineeship" + "Statutory Declaration" to the Erasmus + Institutional Coordinator (Lukáš Pospíšil) at the International Relations Office of the Rectorate. Application form and Learning Agreement must be signed by The practical internship is confirmed by the Rectorate and the student is nominated for an exit.
- Further communication then takes place between the applicant and the representative of the EDUCA consortium who administers the internships and scholarships for CZU Prague. The student will be asked to submit the contract by post and to provide travel insurance valid for the entire duration of the traineeship.
The student must be enrolled in the active study throughout the entire mobility period.
In accordance with the faculty rules and regulations, it is usually necessary to apply for an individual study plan if the mobility takes place at the time of the semester, or to apply for permission to realize mobility abroad.
