What do you need to do to apply?
Here´s a step-by-step guide of the application process for studying a full degree at CZU:
1) Choose your study programme
We offer more than 100 study programmes focused on economics and management, food processing, technology, agriculture, forestry and natural sciences at our 6 faculties and 1 institute.

2) Prepare documents for recognition
You need to prove that you have successfully completed your previous level of study (e.g. if you are applying for a Bachelor´s study programme, you need to present your certificate of graduation from your secondary school and have it recognised by the CZU recognition authority). Have a look at the details of the recognition procedure.
3) Check specific deadlines and entry requirements
The application round opens during November and ends usually at the end of March. Each faculty can have specific application deadlines, entry requirements and entrance examination. See the websites of individual faculties with contact people.
4) Submit your online application
At CZU the application can be submitted only electronically through the University Information System. The admission fee is CZK 500 and is paid by bank transfer or online (via credit or debit card) The admission fee is non-refundable. The next steps will be communicated to you after the application deadline through the online application system and by a letter or email from the relevant Faculty Study Administration Office.
5) Sit the entrance exams / admission interview
The entrance exams may be different for each faculty, but also for different study programmes. You can expect a test, an interview or sometimes no entrance examination. 6) Wait for the notification of acceptance
After the entrance exams are over, CZU selects the prospective students and sends them an announcement (usually by the end of June). Should you be accepted, CZU will send you an official letter of admission. You may be eligible to receive proof of accommodation from CZU.
7) Apply for VISA and arrange your proof of accommodation
If you are a non-EU citizen, you may need to apply for a visa or residence permit to either come or to stay in the Czech Republic. We highly recommend starting your visa application process as soon as you obtain the official letter of admission and arrange proof of accommodation (the whole visa process can take up to 60 days). 8) Start arranging your arrival and stay
Keep in touch with your Faculty coordinator regarding the practical details for your arrival to CZU. As a self-paying student, you can receive accommodation options available at the CZU student dormitories. All students receive the registration link to apply for a local buddy.
9) Welcome to CZU!
We recommend arriving at CZU for the Welcome Week that takes place at the start of each academic year, usually at the end of September. Besides several social and cultural activities, you will be enrolled in your courses, receive the guide for new students and other useful information. You will be ready to enjoy your studies at CZU.
